  1. Open your web browser and type in this URL: facebook.com/business that will take you to the landing page of the Facebook business.

On the far right of the navigation bar, you will see a button that says ‘create ad’. Just beside the button, you’ll see an arrow, click it to drop down the option of ‘create page’, Click it.

 

  1. Choose a category

You will have the option of two categories, ‘BUSINESS or BRAND’ and ‘COMMUNITY/FIGURE’. Choose the one that is close to what you are looking for.

The ‘Business or Brand’ category as it implies is a category oriented towards profit-making, so if you are looking to get customers, this would be the appropriate category.

If you are looking to promote an individual or a group, or you just want to create a charity, then community/figure category would be the most appropriate.

 

  1. Fill in the Details

After choosing your category, fill out the form provided; the name of the page, a category that would further describe your page; it could be fashion, or design basically anything that will make it easier to find your page.

Fill in your business address, the city and state in which the business is carried out. You don’t have to fill in your phone number and postal code if you don’t want to, as this is optional. But, We advise you to do so because it increases your chances of getting ranked higher on Facebook.

Next, you upload your profile pictures and cover photo. Ensure the pictures you use are a good representation of your business/brand; it could be your logo or a picture that clearly represents your brand or business. The picture should be very clear and the dimensions should be well fitted to avoid cropping; the profile picture should have a dimension of 360 x 360 pixels and 828 x 465 pixels for the cover photo.
